Scouts on Parade

2 August 2019

Community involvement not only gains publicity but it allows members to show Scouting’s values of respect, teamwork and co-operation. A splendid example of this was on one sunny Sunday morning in July when, as part of the annual Ingleton 1940’s weekend, members of Ingleton Group took part in a Parade of Remembrance. During the ceremony, a wreath was laid by a Scout, escorted by two of our incoming DCs.

Remembrance events ensure that the sacrifices of those who served in both World Wars are never forgotten so this was a valuable experience for both Scouts and bystanders.
