2000 Years of Shoemaking

In order to raise funds for the Drill Hall refurbishments, last month, Dan Nelson gave a fascinating and enlightening talk about the history of shoemaking. Over 40 members of the public who attended, plus a dozen helpers, were wowed by Dan’s passion for the craft, as well as his extensive knowledge of the subject.

At a previous meeting, members of the South Ingleborough Explorer Unit had baked fruit loaves and scones for the event which they served, along with teas and coffees, at the interval.
