How is the Scout Section run?
Scouting for the 10 ½ to 14 year olds is provided through a Scout Troop. This is based on the Patrol System where groups of young boys and girls work and play together usually led by someone of a similar age, and supported and guided by adults. In Ingleborough District, active mixed Scout Troops operate in both Ingleton and Settle. As in the other Sections, the main role of the adult Leaders is to make sure that their Scouts have a chance to take part in a balanced, challenging and exciting programme which is delivered through a variety of methods including games, visits, team building activities, design exercises etc.

Who can help?
We are always looking for Helpers, Skills Instructors and parents/carers to help with particular activities on a regular or occasional basis.
